DGK Associates had its beginning in Orange County, California
where after working as an office manager and instructor for a national tax
franchise, Gene was encouraged by clients to go out on her own. She opened her
first office in 1982. In 1983 she passed the Department of Treasury's 16 hour
enrolled agents exam in one sitting. Over the years and a couple more years of
college courses, bookkeeping was added to the business and she moved to San
Diego. In 1995 while working for Intuit, she beta tested QuickBooks and that
became the primary accounting software that has been used in the business
since. Since, she has become a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Education in both QuickBooks and tax law are stressed at DGK so that clients can depend on the best and up to date consulting available.
Debbie joined the practice in 2005 after spending years in
education and insurance sales. The partnership has been extremely successful
and they pride themselves in offering a unique and personal service for less.
Gene's daughter, Erin, has been working with DGK for the past two years. She formerly worked for museums and organizations at Balboa Park in administration, budget and financial services.
Having a home office in a small neighborhood near Balboa Park
allows DGK to work with little overhead and allowing their clients to visit the
office with no parking issues or traffic inconvenience. They maintain a very
professional office but offer their clients a homey and comfortable atmosphere. They pride themselves in offering a very personalized service. |
